Sainik School Kalikri is the Twenty Fifth School established and the second in Andhra Pradesh. At present admission is offered in Class VI only. This is a fully residential School for boys only. The School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education. A Local Board of Administration oversees the overall administration of the School and ensures implementation of policies laid down by the Board of Governors from time to time. General Officer Commanding, Telangana & Andhra Sub Area, Secunderabad is the Chairman of Local Board of Administration of the School. Our motto, ‘LEARN TO LEAD’ encompasses our core values and our promise to lead your child in every step of the way. Lt Col Ishani Maitra was commissioned into the Army Educational Corps of the Indian Army on 7 September 2002. Trained at Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai, Lt Col Ishani Maitra did her post-graduation in Modern Indian History from Lucknow University, in 2000 and qualified in the UGC NET (History) in the same year. She also holds an MBA (HR) degree from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur.

During the last 15 years of service the Lt Col has held various assignments like Education Officer in Brigade HQ’s at Binnaguri, Jodhpur, Pedong and Staff Officer Grade-1 (Education) at a Division HQ in Mamun Cantonment. Prior to being posted to Sainik School Kalikiri, she was the Group Education Officer at the Bengal Engineering Group & Centre, Roorkee.

Some of the courses attended by the officer during the tenure are Young Officers (YOs) course at the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi, Automated Data Processing (ADP Sys) at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow and Junior Command Course at the Army War College, Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.

She also has the honour of serving tenures as a qualified instructor at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun and College of Material Management (CMM), Jabalpur.

Lt Col Ishani Maitra is happily married to Lt Col Anirban Das and the couple is blessed with two daughters Audrija Das and Auritika Das.
